This year’s theme, “Great Public Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility,” spotlights the importance of providing every child and young adult in America with a quality public education from kindergarten through college.
American Education Week is a time to recognize all the people – in schools, universities, homes, businesses and communities – who work together to help children and young adults achieve. This biannual UW System forum is hosted this fall by the Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education (WISCAPE) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Graue is a professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and associate director of the Wisconsin Center for Education Research.
