Authors & Illustrators
General Indexes
There are many web sites that provide information about authors and illustrators,
or that have links to web sites about individual authors and illustrators.
There is no single site that provides a comprehensive listing of everything
availble on the web. The four below are good starting points.
- Children's
Book Council:
Author and Illustrator Sites: The CBC's terrific web site includes a listing
of some of the authors and illustrators published
by their member publishers, and links to those individuals' sites. They also
have great information on hosting
an author or illustrator visit. Especially
recommended.
-
TeachingBooks.Net is
a fee-based site designed with the needs of educators in mind. One
of the unique
features of the site is original video-interviews
with authors and illustrators in their studios. They also have
a great links
page to author and illustrator sites. Especially recommended.
(Wisconsin residents have free access to TeachingBooks through Badgerlink).
-
Internet
School Library Media Center: Index to Children's and Young Adults'

of authors and illustrators and information about each; often
includes teacher resource files; some links out of date
