Presentations
History and Story. Discussion of Arthurian legend: the history behind it and the stories that grew from it. Includes about half an hour of storytelling. Target audience: Junior high and high schools. I've also done it for mixed ages at library events.

Re-writing Workshop. A writing workshop that stresses the process of rewriting and editing. Students get to correct a passage from one of my own first drafts, then compare their corrected version with the published form. Sometimes theirs is better. Target audience: Middle school and older.

The Story Re-teller. A talk about the creative process at work in re-telling familiar stories. Includes at least two different re-told stories. Target audience: I've done this in elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as for family library events.

Fees
Negotiable depending on travel time and length of program (I don't charge travel expenses), but generally around $500 for a full day.

Genre(s) of books: fiction for children, fiction for young adults
