Presentations
"About Writing and Stuff". Where do stories ideas come from? How long does it take to write a story? How many times do you revise? How do you sell a story? How do you get an illustrator? How is a book made? How do you spell 'anthropomorphism?' What did you have for breakfast? Do you like rootbeer popsicles?
These questions (and more) are addressed in a 45-minute overhead presentation, with a 15-minute Q&A period. . Target audience: In groups of K-3, and 4-8.
Fees
I do very few school/library visits at this time. $300 per 1-hour session, with a limit of two back-to-back sessions per day.
Additional Comments
In my books, as well as in my life, I place great importance on family, and all things related. The parent/child relationship is especially appealing to me as it evokes so much emotion and every reader can relate to it, either as a parent, or as a child, or a used-to-be child. This theme is often reflected in the stories I choose to write.
