Presentations
PRESIDENTS, PETS AND THE POWER OF RESEARCH. Entertaining PP highlighting how I get my book ideas (for fiction, non-fiction, series & single titles), the power of research, re-writing including anecdotes/ photos of famous first families and their wacky pets. Target audience: 2nd - 6th grade.

WRITING A WHITE HOUSE MYSTERY FROM A PRESIDENTIAL PET''S POINT-OF-VIEW. WRITING WORKSHOP - Students are asked to choose and research a pet and president beforehand. This includes describing their pet''s superhero qualities - keen hearing/smell, can see in dark, squeeze into small spaces, etc. Students decide on a central problem/mystery and we begin writing and share. I offer to read their completed stories and respond by snail mail. Target audience: 3rd -6th grades.

THE WHITE HOUSE IS YOUR HOUSE. Read from FIRST KIDS including new chapter on Malia and Sasha Obama. Kids are invited to imagine what it would be like to grow up in the White House. . Target audience: 1st-6th grades.

Fees
$500 per day plus travel expenses. Projector, screen and darkened room needed for powerpoint presentation. Blackboard or easel with markers for writing workshop. Helpers for audio/visual and workshop.
