Wisconsin-born, I have lived in Antigo, Elm Grove, Madison, Menomonee Falls, Milwaukee, Slinger, and Wauwatosa. I attended UW in Madison and Milwaukee and taught grade 4 in Fox Point and grade 6 in Slinger. In 2004 I taught creative writing to students in grades 2-5.

Presentations

Who's News? Everyone has a story. Meet some young newsmakers, a few unsuspecting heroes, and a couple characters. Sample journalism. Learn about the 5Ws & H and how to collect information that will produce a memorable story. . Target audience: Middle School Students.

Fees
Classroom-sized audiences preferred. Fees run $150/hour/audience or $300/day of repeated presentations. Author will need standard classroom materials like an overhead as well as travel expenses. Pre-ordered books are available with six weeks notice.

Additional Comments
A long-time journalist, I wrote news and feature stories for newspapers and magazines as diverse as Wisconsin Trooper and Once Upon a Time. A West Bend, WI Daily News staff reporter, I regularly covered teacher features and a weekly Lifestyle page. I initiated three student newspapers in my teaching tenure.
