Presentations
From Writing to Book. The story of how a manuscript becomes a book -- the life of an author. Target audience: Can be adapted to any age.

Improving Your Writing by Running the Bases.  This class helps students improve their writing by understanding the characteristics of writing and the process. Target audience: Elementary students.

The View from an Editor's Desk. This class explains the considerations of an editor and how students can help each other in their writing by playing the editor. Target audience: Can be adapted to any age.

Fees
For presentations within the easily drivable region, $800 per day, maximum of 4 large group presentations, or 3 large groups with additional small group presentations; $400 for half day with two large group presentations, plus a small group; plus necessary travel expenses ($.50 per mile etc.) lodging and meals. If flying in and an overnight is required, a host to pick me up is preferred, and the cost for the day and evening is $1,000.

Additional Comments
I enjoy working with youth on the excitement and usefulness of reading and writing. I have an M.A. in English, have been an editor at a children's book publishing company, and have teaching experience.
