Words to Share: A Bibliography of Poetry
for Children and Teens
Compiled by Megan Schliesman© 2003 Cooperative Children's Book Center
The books on this bibliography have been selected from editions of CCBC Choices, the annual best-of-the-year list produced by the staff of the Cooperative Children's Book Center. The books have been arranged into two broad age categories based on the lower age recommendation listed at the end of each citation. Please note that the upper age recommendation for some books suggest their use at an older level as well. A third category lists outstanding examples of the novels-in-verse trend.
