CCBC – Net

CCBC-Net is a listserv encouraging awareness and discussion of ideas and issues critical to literature for children and young adults. CCBC-Net members explore a wide range of topics in contemporary literature for youth, including multicultural literature, translated books, outstanding, and award-winning books, equity themes and topics, the book arts and book publishing, and more.

Every month on CCBC-Net we focus on a new topic or issue. Past discussions include:
  • Young Adult Literature on the Edge
  • Images of Families in Books for Children and Young Adults
  • Creative Nonfiction in Literature for the Young
  • Books for Newly Independent Readers
  • Evaluating Children's and Young Adult Books by and about American Indians

Current and upcoming topics.

At the start of each month on CCBC-Net, we welcome general announcements about children's and young adult literature-related events, news, and activities. Please note that announcements and other off-topic posts should be limited to this time, and not be made during the the subject-specific discussions.

The CCBC-Net Community includes librarians, teachers, university educators and students, authors, artists, editors, publishers, and other adults with an interest in literature for the young.
