ROAD CLOSURE ALERT: As of Thursday, June 18, 2009 University Bay Drive from Highland Ave/Farley Ave has been blocked off. Due to this new construction the best route to get to the College for Kids Drop off would be to take University Ave to Walnut St. Please refer to the map that was included in your packet. There is a possibility that University Bay Drive will be reopened by Monday but that has not been confirmed. Please check the UW Transportation Website for further updates on campus construction.

We are pleased to welcome you to College for Kids 2009! This year is an exciting year, with more student participants, more workshops, and lots of opportunities for learning and having fun. Take your time and explore some of the wonderful activities of past participants under CfK In Action, and get yourself excited for this summer!

The Office of Education Outreach youth programs are designed to provide a quality precollege learning experience. Young students come to the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus environment that promotes children's respect for originality, openness to new perspectives, new academic areas and innovative career choices. We want children to discover self-motivation and responsibility for their own education. Our year-round programming provides new experiences not found in the regular classroom. We hope to provide interest and challenge to the young student with state-of-the-art resources and highly skilled instructors at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Partnerships and collaborations are developed with school districts, community centers and community organizations to provide quality programming. Professional development for educators and administrators is incorporated into precollege programs as well.
