Registration opens Jan. 25 for Badger Volunteers

Registration for all UW–Madison students opens Jan. 25 and there are more than 75 volunteering opportunities to choose from.

Badger Volunteers is a semester-long program that pairs teams of students with community organizations (schools, nonprofits, municipalities) to volunteer one to four hours each week at the same organization.

The program is designed to foster meaningful and consistent connections between community partners and students over the course of an entire semester. Volunteer opportunities fall into three categories: education, sustainability and public health. Badger Volunteers has an opportunity for anyone with any major and interest.

Since its launch in 2008, fellow Badgers have contributed 222,293 hours of service through Badger Volunteers, which is administered by the Morgridge Center for Public Service.

Badger Volunteers registration will open on Friday, Jan. 25 at 7 a.m. and closes on Friday, Feb. 1, at 11:59 p.m. Students can only register online here.

The Morgridge Center for Public Service is administratively housed within the School of Education.
