Light, Color, and Spectroscopy Students will do a variety of hands on activities related to light and color. Examples include: building circuits with light-emitting diodes, constructing a spectrograph to separate white light into colors, making chromatography columns to separate dye mixtures, using visible spectrometers to measure color intensity, and making colored sparklers. ˇBienvenidos a la fiesta! (Spanish through crafts and other fun activities) In this workshop, students will learn basic Spanish culture, expressions, and dialogue as they work on craft projects inspired by Spanish culture. Workshop Leader(s): Danielle Skupas

Food Detectives Uncover the special foods and recipes of our own family, other cultures and traditions by sharing with fellow CFK students and learn about the remarkable power of food in connecting all people. There will be a field trip to a local Madison restaurant—and a little something to eat! Workshop Leader(s): Donna Peckett
