Persona Dolls

Create your own unique self-image piece. Students will learn various embellishment techniques, stitching techniques, and computer imaging. Each student will have a picture of themselves printed on fabric to use for their persona doll.

Social Justice

Students will be actively involved in creating their own concept of social justice as applied to their personal lives and in their homes, schools, and communities. Guest speakers, imaginative activities and journaling will provide resources for ‘dreaming big’ about how to build social justice into our daily lives.

The Human Body!

In this workshop, students will be introduced to and explore how their bodies take care of everyday needs like breathing, eating and walking. Students will actively explore the different body systems including the function of each organ and how the organs work together. Students will explore the adaptations of different animals depending on where they live and what they eat.
