Workshops

Group 15

Food Detectives

Uncover the special foods and recipes of our own family, other cultures and traditions by sharing with fellow CFK students and learn about the remarkable power of food in connecting all people. There will be a field trip to a local Madison restaurant—and a little something to eat!

Workshop Leader(s): Donna Peckett

Artful Fibers

Join a creative journey in fiber arts with felting and knitting. We will hand-dye our own wool, which will be felted to make many fun projects such as felted amulet bags, felted ball friendship bracelets, fun finger puppets and cat toys. Knitting will also be explored to make your own change purse or headband.

Workshop Leader(s): Liz Avery

American Sign Language

Sign Language, being one of the most popular languages taken by hearing students in schools is fun to use with deaf people. Enter the exciting world of ASL. Through games, and other activities, learn to express yourself in another language. Vocabulary and conversational communication are included.
