Students will learn how to use digital cameras, rules of composition, and lighting, how to print with Photoshop© software, and make 8” x 10” prints.

Slam Poetry

Write and read slam poetry that explores people, places, and things in your immediate world. Students will hear live poetry from local poets of various ages and backgrounds, write about the people, places, and things that most fascinate them and compile their work in a booklet. Students will participate in a poetry café by reading, slamming, or writing their work.

Asian Focus in Mixed Media Studio

Challenge your artistic creativity with an eastern approach to style and imagery. See the Chazen Museum’s exhibit of Hawase Hasui’s modern Japanese works. Enjoy in-studio work with acrylic paint, drawing materials and Japanese rice paper to create your unique large scale composition.
