Slam Poetry

Write and read slam poetry that explores people, places, and things in your immediate world. Students will hear live poetry from local poets of various ages and backgrounds, write about the people, places, and things that most fascinate them and compile their work in a booklet. Students will participate in a poetry café by reading, slamming, or writing their work.

American Sign Language

Sign Language, being one of the most popular languages taken by hearing students in schools is fun to use with deaf people. Enter the exciting world of ASL. Through games, and other activities, learn to express yourself in another language. Vocabulary and conversational communication are included.

Create Your Own Business

Students will work in groups to create a business in an area of Create business cards, a logo, video commercials; everything a business would need to market itself!
