The Wisconsin Center for Education Research is one of the oldest, largest, and most productive university-based education research centers in the world. Under the direction of Adam Gamoran, WCER provides a dynamic environment where some of the country's leading scholars conduct basic and applied education research. The WCER portfolio includes research centers and projects that investigate a variety of topics in education.

The Education Alumni Office hosts several major events on campus each year, including a Homecoming Tailgate celebration and several events during American Education Week in November.
