Interests

• Design Education
• Cognition & Visual Arts
• Learning Through Design
• Curriculum Development
• My work involves research in learning and design – how different age groups respond to and learn within four areas of design including object, information, experience and environments. This work has been applied to museum education, communication design, community development, and curriculum development. My earlier research focused on the role of basic cognitive processes and human physiology in the processing of complex visual stimulus, from simple drawings to complex works of art.
