| What to Expect? |
1. Online cancellations are only allowed 7 days prior to a scheduled
diversity dialogue. If within the 7 day
time frame please follow the instructions
2-6.
2. Go to the Office of Human Resource Development (OHRD) login site.
3. Click on the Login button near the top of the page.
4. Enter your UW Net ID and password.
5. Click on My Registration near the top of the page.
6. Find the Diversity Dialogue you registered for under Current Registrations and click on the Cancel button.
7. Scroll down and click on the Yes, Cancel Registration button.
8. Close page.
9. You will then receive a confirmation email shortly.
10. Please reregister immediately after canceling for another Diversity Dialogue-- as we may cancel session that are not full.

2. Sign on for Log In using your UW Madison user ID and password.
3. Click on the My Registrations tab on the page.
4. You should see a listing of your current enrollment.

However, please note that you only receive credit for the dialogue if you attended
it in entirety (see
below).
1. There are maximum of 10 students and 1 or 2 graduate student facilitators.
2. There will be a mix of students from your class and other classes that
meet the ethnic studies
requirement.
3. The discussions last 90 minutes on one day.
4. The groups are semi-structured which means the facilitators will have
some lead-in questions and
exercises but participants are expected to take
some initiative in the discussion.
1. You will get credit by showing up and participating in the dialogues.
2. At the beginning of the dialogues, students will sign in their name and
class number
3. Near the end of the semester, your instructor will receive a listing
of students in his or her class that
participated in the dialogues.
4. Also, you go to the OHRD main web site login page at www.ohrd.wisc.edu
and access your Learning
Transcript which will note your participation around
2 weeks after participating.
5. Please be sure that you sign in upon arrival.
1. You do not need to bring anything with you, but do dress comfortable
to mostly sit for 90 minutes.
2. You may also wish to bring a bottle of water to drink during the sessions
as you will be expected to be
talking during this time.
1. Think about 1 or 2 diversity issues of personal interest that you would
find interesting to discuss in a
group format.
2. Be willing to speak from personal experiences and engage in the group
discussion in an honest manner.
3. To be reflective and open about your own and others’ experiences
related to diversity.
4. Be willing to challenge yourself and to move beyond overly safe and easy
topics.
1. The Diversity Dialogues will only be cancelled by the Dialogue Coordinators due to inclement weather or if there are less than three participants scheduled for a given dialogue.
2. In the event that your dialogue is cancelled due to weather related concerns or low enrollment, all participants scheduled will be notified via email by noon on the day of their scheduled Dialogue.
