Diversity Committee

Mission

 

The goal of the Diversity Committee (DC) is to coordinate and provide programming that supports the mission and philosophy of multiculturalism and diversity within the Department of Counseling Psychology. In supporting a community of culturally integrative and competent individuals, the DC's goal is to increase knowledge, awareness, and skills of culturally-aware life-long learners. To meet these goals, the DC oversees activities that include opportunities for personal and professional interactions to learn about self and others. These activities will include, but are not limited to, speaker series, student and faculty brown-bags, faculty/student-facilitated movie nights, "potlucks with purpose," and other community-building activities related to diversity, multiculturalism, and, social justice.
