Student Teaching Advisory Council (STAC)

The School of Education's Student Teaching Advisory Council membership includes teacher and administrator representatives from several school districts in which UW-Madison field experience students are placed on a regular basis. Also represented on the Council are methods professors who coordinate student teaching programs in specific subject areas and EAS staff. The Council meets four times each year and focuses on practica and student teaching programs at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. The Council serves in an advisory capacity to Education Academic Services and to the directors of the various field experience programs at the University. Its purpose is to serve as a communication link between the School of Education and cooperating school districts.

For more information about the Student Teaching Advisory Council, contact Jeff Hamm, Associate Dean, Education Academic Services, 608-265-2745, hamm@education.wisc.edu.
