Licensing in other states
Students seeking licensure in other states should begin by contacting the Education or Public Instruction Department of the state in which they expect to work. The University of Kentucky College of Education maintains a website that attempts to collect the teacher certification requirements for all 50 states. Find contact information for each state via this site. Educational Portfolios and Career Services (EPCS), B141 Education Sciences, maintains a list of addresses and phone numbers of all state education agencies. Note that your license may have to be signed by a representative of the endorsing institution, which will be UW-Madison.
