Results of TB examinations must have been obtained within a two-year period preceding the student teaching experience. Students will not be placed in schools if EAS has not received the negative TB test results.
Many semesters EAS and University Health Services offer a tuberculin testing clinic to help meet this requirement. Call Ricki Benton at 262-4918 for more information. You should be available on both dates to participate. The first date is to place the test and the second date to check the test results.
If you cannot or do not wish to participate in the TB clinic at EAS, you may call University Health Services at 265-5600 for an appointment.
The student is responsible for submitting the TB test results a semester in advance of student teaching. Students should consider that there is at least a 48-hour delay between the time a TB test is given and when the test results are available. If you have questions about the requirement, please call Ricki Benton at 262-4918.
