Quintana, Ph.D. Professor Department of Counseling
Psychology Before joining the faculty at UW-Madison in January, 1996, Dr. Quintana was on the faculty in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. In 1992-93, he received a Ford Foundation Fellowship for research investigating Mexican-American childrens understanding of ethnicity in Texas and Arizona. Dr. Quintana now holds a joint appointment with the UW Departments of Counseling Psychology and Educational Psychology. His teaching interests and previous courses include: Development of Ethnic/Racial Minority Children, Multicultural Counseling, Ethical and Professional Issues, Assessment in Counseling, Short-term Psychotherapy, Psychopathology, Self, Ego, and Identity, Theories of Counseling, and Research Methods in Counseling Psychology.
