Re-enrollment

So you want to re-enroll? Here's how.

Re-enrollment Procedures:

First, check qualifications: are you a Re-entry Student?

1.You were once registered as a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

2.You wish to resume studies after an absence of one or more semesters (not including summer).

The purpose of the Re-entry procedure is that it verifies for the Graduate School that you still are in good standing with your academic department, and, consequently, they activate your eligibility to register for courses.

To apply for Re-entry:

1. You must complete an online application for admission.
https://www.gradsch.wisc.edu/eapp/eapp.pl

2. You should submit the online application at least six (6) weeks prior to the start of your intended semester.

3. After submission of your application, the department will review your records including your application.

4. If you have attended any other colleges or universities since your last enrollment, you must submit official transcripts from those institutions to both the Graduate School and your department/program.

5. Contact your intended department regarding any addition admission requirements and/or deadlines, even if it's the same department you were enrolled in previously.

6. No fee is required if you have enrolled in the last 5 years. You must pay an application fee if it has been more than 5 years since your last enrollment.

For additional information regarding the Graduate School policies for reentry, refer to the Graduate School website http://info.gradsch.wisc.edu/admin/admissions/reentry.html
