Research and Scholarly Interests

My research and practice is focused on K-12 public school improvement through school leadership.  I have been deeply engaged in using case studies, school leader portfolios and school site visits to study school leaders and the leadership practices used to close achievement gaps and dramatically improve learning for all students.  It is my role to promote leadership practices that advance equity in student learning and increase collaboration between practitioners and professors.
