Wisconsin International Outreach Consortium (WIOC)

WIOC's mission is to share resources and to collaboratively support international education and global awareness. WIOC provides resources and expertise on world areas to K-12 teachers, post-secondary educators, businesses, the media, and the community at large.

 

UW Language Institute

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is an international leader in foreign language education and research, offering instruction in over 80 modern and ancient languages. The UW-Madison is home to eleven internationally prominent departments of languages and literatures, eleven prestigious area studies centers, the National Council of Less Commonly Taught Languages and the National African Language Resource Center. Students at UW-Madison can apply to over 100 study abroad programs to every continent of the world except Antarctica. Drawing on the wealth of these departments, centers and programs, the Language Institute promotes collaboration for research, education and community outreach in languages, literatures and cultures.

 

Wisconsin Council for the Social Studies (WCSS)

The primary mission of the WCSS is to promote social studies and the professional growth and development of educators which, in turn, will help young people develop the ability to make informed and reasoned decisions for the public good as citizens of a culturally diverse, democratic society in an interdependent world.

 

Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI)

The DPI offers a number of resources to ensure that international education is included as an integral part of state initiatives, conferences, business practices and processes, and, most importantly, in all levels of education for Wisconsin citizens.
