Kinesiology

Thank you for visiting the Department of Kinesiology web site. The goal of this site is to provide information for current and prospective students, connect with our alumni, and to share news about the exciting research, instructional, and service programs offered through the department.

The UW-Madison Department of Kinesiology exists to research, teach and apply knowledge related to movement, exercise and human occupation with the ultimate goal of enhancing human health, productivity, and quality of life.  With an increasing understanding that regular physical activity reduces the risk of developing or dying from some of the leading causes of illness and death in the United States, the study of movement, exercise and occupation has the potential to dramatically impact health and quality of life.

We invite you to explore the site and learn more about the Department of Kinesiology. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
