Kines Alum Wins US Cycling Championship

Some good news from the summer...
Meredith Miller (formerly Meredith Frommer) won the US National Road Championship for 2009. Meredith and her husband Ben Miller (Asst. Professor of Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State) are both alumni of the Dept. of Kinesiology. Meredith has been the consummate teammate since her days of playing for the UW Soccer team. She was a two year starter, member of their Big Ten Championship team, and received honorable mention all Big-Ten despite never being a scholarship player. Here career in cycling mirrored this where she has done tireless work for other team leaders over the years despite being strong enough to pursue her personal ambition. It all came back to her with a National Championship this summer. Meredith will have the honor of wearing the stars and stripes for the coming year and will represent the United States at the World Championship in Switzerland in September.
