Practice and Experience

Currently working as a Lecturer and an Instructional Specialist in the OT Program, UW-Madison and as a clinician reviewer of cerebral palsy cases for research project titled Wisconsin Surveillance of Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities System, Epidemiology of Developmental Disabilities Unit, Waisman Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison. Pediatric experience: Provided evaluation and intervention for children with developmental disabilities at Kennedy Krieger Institute, Baltimore, MD and the Vince Moseley Diagnostic Center, Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. Worked in preschool settings, in and outpatient units, and private practice. Supervised OT students during fieldwork experience at Towson University, Towson, MD and the University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. OT consultant for High Risk Developmental Followup Clinic, Neuromuscular Clinic, and the Department of Health and Environmental Control-lead agency for early intervention in South Carolina. Received specialized training in Neurodevelopmental Treatment-basic, baby, and refresher courses.

Currently teaching Orientation to Occupational Therapy. Previously taught OT courses addressing evaluation and intervention in pediatrics to professional masters and post professional masters OT students in the Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science Department, Towson University, Towson, MD and undergraduate OT courses in the Occupational Therapy Department, Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC.
