Transforming Lives Through Occupation
The Occupational Therapy Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is one of
the most successful in the country due in large part to the outstanding faculty,
staff, and alumni; the cutting edge research that impacts peoples' lives; and the
quality of the existing programs including a
Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MS-OT),
Master of Science in Therapeutic Science (MS-TS) and a
PhD degree in Kinesiology, Therapeutic Science Track. In the last
year, the OT faculty has received over $6.4 million in federal research grants from
the National Institute of Health. Our research faculty have particular expertise

In addition to being one of the foremost research universities in the United States,
the University of Wisconsin-Madison is located in a community which blends ethnic
tradition, urban sophistication and youthful spirit. Madison is the only isthmus
city in North America, stretching between Lakes Monona and Mendota, providing a

- Dorothy Edwards,
PhD is the PI of the Minority Recruitment Satellite Program for the
newly funded University of Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center. UW has
received 5 years of funding for this research program. UW is now one of 29 NIH funded
Alzheimer's Disease Centers. Total funding for Dr. Edwards part is $1,250,000.00
for the 5 year term of the project.

at the Brain to Five Education Series on Wed. March 11th, 7 pm at Appleton North
