Dr. McGivern teaches in the School Psychology Program, where she supervises clinical and field-based training of graduate students. As a former middle and high school teacher, Dr. McGivern developed a strong interest in the relationship between classroom management and student performance. She is particularly interested in issues of self-regulation and motivation and how they influence academic progress.
