Once again, the UW-Madison School of Education has received high marks in the Best Graduate Schools guidebook issued by U.S. News & World Report, which ranked the School as sixth in the nation (tied with UC-Berkeley) among peer institutions.

As part of the rankings, deans of the nation's top education schools and colleges rated individual departments and programs at UW-Madison among the best in graduate education. In the deans' survey, the School's departments and programs were ranked as:

#1 educational psychology
#1 curriculum and instruction
#1 printmaking (based on previous ranking; Fine Arts programs were not ranked this year)
#2 educational administration/supervision
#2 elementary education
#2 rehabilitation counseling
#2 secondary education
#3 educational policy
#6 counseling/personnel services (tied with University of North Carolina)
#7 vocational/technical education (tied with Colorado State University)
#11 special education
