Description:
Learn the basics of programming with SCRATCH©. Scratch© is a new programming language designed at MIT that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art—and share your creations on the web.
Instructor:
Michele K. Hatchell has been a passionate artist and art educator for the past 16 years. She is currently the art teacher at Shorewood Elementary School in Madison. Michele has taught in museums such as the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art. She has also completed many community-based art projects with folks of all ages. Her favorite media are fiber, paint and clay. She loves helping her students find their inner artists and embrace the joy that being creative can bring to everyday life.
Intended Audience:
Students in grades 5-12,
High Schoolers and Adults too!
