Independent Learning Courses and Professional Development Strands

Learn at your pace, your place!

Description:

Our education independent learning (correspondence) courses can be taken on your schedule during the course of one year. No parking fees, child care costs, or travel.

Earn University credit. Learn via US Mail, e-mail, or online.

Work toward an undergraduate degree, professional development benchmarks, or take courses for personal reasons.

While participation is not required, Independent Learning courses have been grouped into Professional Development Strands. Courses within the Professional Strand have been selected because they include skills and understanding in the Professional Strand subject area. Completing a Professional Development Strand demonstrates that you have completed a collection of related courses that center on a particular theme or area of learning. The number of courses to complete is generally three to four and the number of years to complete the Professional Strand is three to four. You may still take single courses.

Note: Courses may be taken in any order.
