Description:

The Saturday Enrichment Program provides a student-centered environment to explore a wide range of interests and new academic areas to empower 5th-8th graders (plus high schoolers!) to ask and learn about career options, interests, and choices. Students utilize state-of-the-art campus resources and interact with UW-Madison faculty, staff and community professionals in this precollege program sponsored by the School of Education. This program has open enrollment with course registrations on a first come, first served basis.

There will be four sessions throughout the 2009-2010 academic year for students in grades 5-8 (including one high school option!):

Session One: "Fresh Expression"
Thursday, October 29 - Friday, October 30, 2009
This two-day intensive is focused around innovative arts and practices, such as design, writing, fashion design, video, animation, digital photography, engineering, architecture, etc.

Session Two: "Digital Media Dynamics"
Saturday, November 21, 2009
One day filled with courses on digital media, which includes specific software instruction, digital media networking, etc. Use your skillz and imagination!

Session Three: "Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead"
