Description:
AM: Stop Motion Animation
Create your own animation with an original story about yourself. Build a wire puppet, write a dialogue, and capture it all with a digital video camera. Import images and voice over into iMovie© and edit into a short stop-motion animation. Students will receive a complete class DVD.
PM: Gettin' Buggy With It
Discover fun with insects! Explore Entomology through fun, hands-on activities that are all about insects. You’ll be introduced to the wonderful world of insects including fun facts and a tour of UW’s insect collections. They’re not as gross as some people think! You will even get to Interact with live bugs and go out into the “field” to collect insects.

Gettin' Buggy With It
Joliene Lindholm is currently an entomology graduate student and is involved in the children's outreach program Insect Ambassadors. She is an avid enthusiast on all types of insects. Joliene’s research focuses in the areas of biochemistry and molecular biology of insects.

Students entering grades 6-9
