Distance Education Certificate Program

A Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Program

Description:

If you want to increase your knowledge and skills in online education, the Distance Education Certificate Program integrates a comprehensive curriculum of core courses and electives that cover conceptual knowledge, principles of best practice, and practical strategies for application in your work setting. You learn via the Internet, audio-conferencing, and modular print formats. You also work with online resources and experience individualized advising. By joining either the fall or winter cohort, you will join a group of 25 people who will go through the program together. This Certificate is a collaboration between the School of Education Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis and the Office of Education Outreach.

The Program awards Continuing Education Units for professional development. Typical completion time is one year.

Intended Audience:

 

Professionals in higher education, business, industry, government, military, and K-12 media consultants

$2800 (total cost)
