Credit Options
Credit
Some workshops offer UW-Madison credit as an option. Non-traditional students, like educators, can opt to take some of our workshops for UW-Madison special student credit. In addition to attending the workshop, professors in academic departments within the School of Education design an appropriate amount of coursework to accompany the workshop. Students who attend the workshop, complete the coursework, and pay the tuition (an additional expense and not included in the workshop fee) will be awarded a grade and one credit. The tuition for Fall of 2009 will be $348.24, a special, lower rate than traditional graduate students pay.
In order to qualify for the special rate, students cannot be enrolled in a masters or doctoral program at UW-Madison. This rate is for people who are taking courses of interest only. If a student wants to start a graduate program and wishes to use the course toward fulfilling requirements, the department where the graduate work is being done will decide whether to count the course or not.
