Despite my Mandan and Hidatsa Nation ancestors calling the central plains home for thousands of years, I have lived in 11 states, including the East Coast, Gulf Coast and West Coast, and the mountains of Colorado.  I am a futbol fan and traveled around Brazil and Canada for the last two World Cups.  For local travel, I highly encourage everyone to find the 13th Floor of our Educational Sciences tower for amazing hidden views of these wondrous lake shores humans have called home for 12,000 years.  I received my graduate degree from the School of Education at UW-Madison.

Jerry Jordan, is a Racine native and a graduate of UW Whitewater where he earned his undergraduate degree in Art as well as a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Art Education. He is currently an academic advisor/college recruiter in the School of Education.

Sa Seng is a first generation college student and he emigrated from a refugee camp in Thailand at the age of fourteen. Sa Seng formerly served as an Admissions Counselor for nearly six years where he reviewed and made decisions on applicants applying to enter the University of Wisconsin - Madison, coordinated campus visits, attended college fairs, and visited many high schools throughout the ​state of Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Sa Seng is currently working as an Advisor and Recruiter in the School of Education and during his spare times he enjoys playing badminton and watching movies.

Rebecca Comfort is the Interim American Indian Curriculum Services Consultant in the School of Education. An enrolled member of the Keweenaw Bay Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe, ​Rebecca graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014 with a Bachelor's of Science in Art and American Indian Studies. In her current position, Rebecca works with pre-service teachers to implement instruction around the history, culture, and sovereignty of the 12 American Indian nations of Wisconsin.

Mary is a UW-Madison graduate student in Educational Policy Studies, working alongside Dr. Bianca Baldridge. She is broadly interested in community-based learning, the intersectionality of race and ableism, youth aspirations, and cultural wealth. More specifically, Mary’s research focuses on the experiences of black and brown Deaf youth in out-of-school contexts. She received a Bachelor of Art in Child & Adolescent Development with a concentration in Special Education from San Jose State University.

Her devotion to education derives from her upbringing in Hanford, California. Living in the San Joaquin Valley of California provided her with a wealth of knowledge, and appreciation for the relationship between community and education. In 2014, she received California Legislature Assembly’s Student Diversity Champion Award for her commitment to education, diversity and community.

Chee Chia (CC) is from the Northside of Milwaukee, WI and he is currently a senior at UW studying Community Nonprofit and Leadership in the School of Human Ecology. CC is a brother of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated- Kappa Rho Chapter on campus and he serves as the standing secretary and social chair.

CC enjoys dancing and deejaying and a life motto he has developed over the years is, “The most important investment in life is, human investment”.
