Through the Arts Institute, the Interdisciplinary Arts Residency Program (IARP) has hosted more than 30 renowned artists-in-residence since 1999. During the IARP residency, "artists teach an interdisciplinary course for university credit, present at least one free public event, and participate in community outreach activities."

The event will explore shared memories of past residencies from the Arts Institute and the sponsoring departments through photographs, video footage and printed materials.

During his artist talk, Abdu'Allah will speak about his experiences with the IARP and how the residency program contributes to both the UW-Madison campus and the community as a whole.

The exhibition will open Saturday, Sept. 30 in Gallery 7 in the Humanities Building, and will continue through Thursday, Oct. 12. Abdu'Allah will give his artist talk on Monday, Oct. 9 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m in Gallery 7.
