UW-Madison's Singer awarded scholarship, selected to display art

UW-Madison undergraduate Karen Lorraine Singer was selected to exhibit two pieces at the Wally Douma Student Art Gallery and awarded a $250 Honorable Mention scholarship for her piece, "The Contents of My Head."

Singer is earning a bachelor of fine arts degree with the School of Education's Art Department.

The Wally Douma Student Art Gallery is located in the hallways and public spaces on the ninth floor of 333 East Campus Mall.

Wally Douma was the first director of the Office of Student Financial Aid, which he helped to establish and open at UW-Madison in 1964.  Douma spent more than 50 years on campus as a founder, trailblazer and national leader in the financial aid profession.
