​Professional Learning and Community Education (PLACE) 
The office of Professional Learning and Community Education (PLACE) ensures that the knowledge fostered within the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has global impact. Using the expertise of faculty, staff, and community stakeholders, PLACE supports and develops professional and community learning programs in education, the arts and health. By building meaningful relationships with individuals invested in lifelong learning, PLACE represents the Wisconsin Idea in action.

The Career Center helps School of Education students and alumni develop a career and professional identity, and empowers them to make and implement informed career decisions through life’s transitions by assisting with career decisions, encouraging experiential learning, and providing job search assistance.

EPTC icon

Educational and Psychological Training Center (EPTC) is a student training facility in the School of Education. The primary mission of the EPTC is to train students in the delivery of services to persons experiencing learning, behavioral, psychosocial, or vocational difficulties.

The Morgridge Center for Public Service, founded in 1996 with support from John and Tashia Morgridge, promotes citizenship and learning through service within local, national and global communities through various programs, services and resources.

 The Network Logo The Network (The Wisconsin Collaborative Education Research Network) connects and engages educators, community members, researchers and other stakeholders to transform education. It also hosts the Network Fellows program that connects graduate students with opportunities to collaborate with community organizations.

The Wisconsin Center for Educational Products and Services (WCEPS) a non-profit organization founded by friends of UW-Madison, collaborates with the School to disseminate educational products and services created at the university to school administrators, teachers, and students.

wiscape logo Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education (WISCAPE) was founded in 2001 on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. It is housed in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (ELPA) in the School of Education. WISCAPE supports and disseminates the research of faculty and students in ELPA's Higher, Postsecondary and Continuing Education (HPCE) program, and supports the HPCE master's and doctoral programs.
