School of Education Alumni Awards 

Do you know an outstanding teacher, professor, school counselor, or administrator? An occupational therapist who has shown significant achievement? An artist or dancer who has had a great career? Someone whose lifelong dedication to public service reflects the ideals of the School of Education?

If that person is a UW-Madison School of Education graduate or certificate recipient, consider nominating him or her for an alumni award. 

Nominations for the 201​7-201​8 School of Education Alumni Awards ​are now open until Friday, March 10.

Teacher Education Alumni Awards

The Lois Gadd Nemec Elementary Education Alumni Award and Robert and Carroll Heideman Secondary Education Alumni Award recognize teacher education graduates who have demonstrated distinguished service as classroom teachers, administrators, or other K-12 school professionals. 


Kevin Anderson, Recent Graduate Award   

Outstanding Recent Graduate Award

The Outstanding Recent Graduate Award recognizes outstanding alumni who have received a degree or certificate from a program within the School of Education within the past 10 years (200​6 or after). Selection is based on demonstrated achievement and leadership within a chosen field, as well as the potential and promise for continued growth and success.


Lois Weis, Distinguished Alumni Award 

Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award 

The Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award is the highest honor bestowed by the School of Education. The award recognizes a career of extraordinary accomplishment. Selection is based on significant contributions to the graduate's chosen field and an exemplary record of professional leadership OR outstanding service to the community and/or UW-Madison.
