Alum Tauscher to be inducted into Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame

December 19, 2017

Mark Tauscher, an alumnus of UW-Madison’s School of Education, is being inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, the team announced earlier this month.

Mark Tauscher
Tauscher is a former Badger and Packer offensive lineman who graduated from UW-Madison in 1999 before going on to earn his master’s degree in educational administration from the School of Education in 2003.

In 2005, Tauscher established the TRIFECTA (Tauscher’s Reading Initiative For Every Child To Achieve) Foundation. He also served on the School of Education's Board of Visitors for three years, and now co-owns Isthmus Publishing.

Although his football career had a slow start, he ended his UW career with a Rose Bowl win and went on to become selected in the seventh round by the Packers in the 2000 NFL daft. He became the starter at right tackle in the second game of his rookie season and went on to play 134 games with the Packers during an 11-year pro career.

The 48th Packers Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will be held this summer on July 21.
