Every year, the Academy selects a distinguished group of scientists whose research merges behavior and medicine. Since its founding in 1978, several hundred renowned researchers have been elected to the Academy through a selective process.

Cook will be honored at the annual ABMR meeting held June 22-25, 2016 in British Columbia.

Cook is a professor in the School of Education’s Department of Kinesiology, where he directs an Exercise Psychology Lab. He recently received a grant from the Department of Veteran affairs to study Gulf War Veterans who suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome.
