UW-Madison’s Bruce King presented earlier this month at the Association for Middle Level Education’s (AMLE) annual conference in Austin, Texas, with colleagues Barb Brodhagen and James Beane. King is a faculty associate with the School of Education’s Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis and also has been a researcher with the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER), where he contributed to two studies focused on Authentic Intellectual Work. The AMLE conference ran Oct. 9-12. King's session was titled “A Democratic Core for Middle Level Curriculum and Teaching: Student Voice and Authentic Intellectual Work.”
