Education Academic Services
Education Academic Services, the School’s undergraduate dean’s office, provides detailed handouts for all our undergraduate majors. Reviewing these documents is a crucial first step for students considering a School of Education program. Obtain web-based versions at the EAS website or printed copies in Room B117 Education Building, 1000 Bascom Mall, Madison, WI 53706. Information about our academic programs is also available in the campus Undergraduate Catalog, which is updated every two years.
Prospective students are strongly encouraged to confer with Education Academic Services advising staff. Most students meet with advisors in 30-minute, one-on-one advising sessions. Sometimes prospective students meet with advisors in small groups. When necessary we will arrange for a phone appointment. Call the EAS reception desk at (608) 262-1651 to schedule an advising session.
Please note: Except for Special Education, the School of Education does not offer master’s degree teacher certification programs. Individuals with a previous degree will earn either a second degree or teacher certification only.
