Several from School of Education receiving 2019 Awards in the Creative Arts


The Division of the Arts offers five awards annually and one award bi-annually, amounting to approximately $84,000. The grants are divided into three categories: Arts Faculty Research, Arts Faculty and Staff Outreach, and Undergraduate and Graduate Student Achievement in the Arts.

Stephen Hilyard, a professor with the School of Education’s Art Department, will be receiving the Creative Arts Award.

Also from the Art Department, undergraduate student Shiloah Coley will be receiving one of the Lyman S.V. Judson and Ellen Mackechnie Judson Student Award in the Creative Arts.

Two faculty members of the School of Education’s Dance Department will be receiving awards. Peggy Choy, an associate professor in the department, will receive the Emily Mead Baldwin Award, and Liz Sexe, a lecturer with the department, will receive the Edna Wiechers Arts in Wisconsin Award.
